Adrian Blundell is a highly experienced Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) specialist, bringing over 20 years of industry knowledge to Dewhurst Airfield Services Ltd and playing a key role in delivering complex, high-value projects with confidence and precision.
With a career spanning a wide range of airfield environments, Adrian has developed extensive expertise in managing large-scale AGL projects from specification, application, design and installation through to commissioning and ongoing maintenance and support. He is particularly driven by the challenge these projects present, taking pride in working alongside strong teams to deliver reliable and high-performing solutions in demanding operational settings.
Throughout his time in the industry, Adrian has witnessed significant technological advancement, most notably the evolution of LED lighting. Having experienced its progression from early-stage challenges through to its current position as the preferred solution across many applications, he brings valuable insight grounded in real-world experience and long-term industry involvement.

Nikki Gaston
Sales & Marketing Manager
Nikki Gaston is the Solar Airfield Lighting Sales & Marketing Manager at Dewhurst Airfield Services Ltd, specialising in the development and promotion of sustainable airfield lighting solutions across the aviation sector.
With almost a decade of experience in sales, marketing, and management, Nikki combines strong commercial awareness with a creative, solutions-focused approach. Working closely with airports, airfields, heliports, and aviation stakeholders, she helps clients identify suitable solar lighting solutions while supporting projects from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Alongside her client-facing responsibilities, Nikki plays a key role in the continued growth of the solar AGL division, supporting business development, marketing initiatives, and industry engagement. Her approach is built on professionalism, clear communication, and long-term relationship building, ensuring clients receive trusted support and a consistently positive experience throughout their journey with Dewhurst Airfield Services.

As the solar division continues to grow, Nikki’s role reflects an expanding scope within Dewhurst Airfield Services Ltd, supporting both day to day delivery and the ongoing development of the business’s presence in sustainable airfield lighting.
Gemma Crompton
Clerical and Accounts Assistant
Gemma Crompton plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the business through accurate financial and administrative support.
Originally joining the company in November 2018, Gemma contributed to the team until February 2021, before taking a break due to COVID and family commitments. She re-joined Dewhurst in August 2023 and has since resumed a central role within the office function.
Gemma is responsible for managing wages, purchase ledgers, and core accounting processes for Dewhurst Airfield Services. Alongside this, she oversees the ordering of workwear and manages pro-forma payments for the office, ensuring essential administrative and financial processes run efficiently and without disruption.
With a strong focus on organisation and reliability, Gemma helps ensure the main base of Dewhurst Airfield Services remains fully functional and operational at all times, supporting the wider team across all areas of delivery.

We have a team of highly skilled, dedicated technicians who are directly employed by Dewhurst Airfield Services. They are at the heart of every project we deliver, bringing consistency, accountability, and pride in their work across all areas of airfield lighting installation, maintenance, and support.
Because our technicians are fully in-house, we maintain complete control over quality, safety standards, and project delivery. This ensures every job is carried out with the same level of care, attention to detail, and technical precision, regardless of scale or complexity.

Dagmar Clark
Compliance & Project Support Manager
Dagmar joined Dewhurst Airfield Services Ltd in November 2017 and plays a key role in ensuring the business operates to the highest standards across compliance, quality, and project support.
Working remotely from the central Preston office, Dagmar is instrumental in the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the company running smoothly. She manages airport and airside security passes, ensuring all personnel maintain the appropriate certifications and training required to operate safely and efficiently. She also oversees the calibration of specialist equipment, ensuring all instruments remain within manufacturer timeframes and fully compliant.
Her role is central to maintaining company accreditations, leading internal audits across quality and environmental systems in line with ISO9001:2015. Through careful review and continuous improvement, she ensures processes remain up to date, effective, and aligned with industry standards, supporting the retention of key accreditations including Constructionline, CHAS, SafeContractor, and JOSCAR.
Dagmar also supports the commercial and operational delivery of projects, coordinating procurement, documentation, permits, and invoicing, while assisting with client communications and vendor assessments. From organising site facilities and airside logistics to sourcing and negotiating accommodation for long-term projects, she ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
With a detail-focused and proactive approach, Dagmar plays an integral role in keeping projects compliant, organised, and efficiently delivered.
